What do we do?

The Major Events and Programs Team creates vibrant, inclusive experiences that build campus community, celebrate UConn spirit, and foster student engagement. Through signature events and collaborative programming, we aim to connect students with each other and the university, helping them make lasting memories and meaningful connections beyond the classroom.

MEPS also supports the Student Union Board of Governors (SUBOG)—the student team that brings the energy to campus. From comedy shows and concerts to major speakers, travel trips, and special events, SUBOG keeps the calendar packed with things to do. They’re also the crew behind huge UConn traditions like Homecoming and the annual Spring Concert (UCONNIC), giving students plenty of reasons to show up, cheer loud, and make memories.
